Greetings! I am a computer systems modeler by day and a globe-trotting landscape painter by night (and weekends, and holidays, and whenever else I get a chance). 

 

I often get strange looks when I tell people that. “How do those two things go together? How can you do both?”

 

In truth, I need both. If I stare at a computer screen for too long, my whole body goes numb. If I do nothing but paint for days together, my mind starts running in circles – like a wee mouse in its little wheel. I need the mental stimulation of logical puzzles just as much as I need the sensual stimulation of bright colors and smooth, buttery oil paint. 

 

And what better subject matter to paint than scenes from my travel adventures? It is my favorite way to show people where I’ve been and how much fun our planet can be.
