Welcome to my blog!

The main purpose of this blog is to share the travel adventures that inspire my artwork.

For example, the attached pencil sketch is of Lake Champlain at sunrise. It is from a trip I took to Burlington, Vermont a few weeks ago. I sat on a rock while I sketched; it was so cold I thought my fingers would fall off. But afterwards I discovered Myer's Bagel Bakery on Pine St. - yum! I unthawed with an awesome cup of coffee and a sesame bagel.

But back to the blog - I will also post tidbits on works in progress, observations concerning how to balance the day job with the painting, and general art-related philosophical musings.

My plan is to post something every couple of weeks, so stay tuned!
